Sp 404 Resample issue

Occasionally while I'm playing the resample button will just light up. Also, every time I turn on the 404 it says AIF OR UAU(which I'm assuming means WAV.) When it is doing this the resample button is also lit and the pattern select button is flashing. I'm very fucking worried, the last time I got my 404 repaired the dude took 3 weeks to repair it.

i think the manual says that holding resample and turning on the unit gives you the option of recording as wav or aiff... and if your resample button is lighting up randomly, both things point to that button being stuck..
