New to the sp404sx, no sound

Hi, I'm just wondering if anyone can help me.. I've recently just bought my first sp 404sx and i'm having a few problems.

I currently cannot get any sound to come out of it, I've set it up with some rca cables which are connected from the line outs to a Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 usb interface which are connected to the inputs on the back of it. I've followed the steps in the sp manual and i still can't get any sound to come out. Just wondering if anyone is familiar with this audio interface and if they could point me in the right direction of what I should be doing.

The outputs of your interface need to be connected to your amp and speakers.

Have you tried to plug headphones to the 404 and check if there is any sound.
And make sure there are some samples in the machine - if you bought a used
machine the previous owner might have deleted everything.
