So I woke up this morning...

I went to sleep last night around 3 am after messing around with the sp all day. I woke up this morning to my alarm clock blaring the radio at 7:30 am. I was so delusional, I started getting mad that the sound coming from the alarm clock wasn't looping right. I was hitting the snooze button in hopes the next sound would come out looped correctly. I jumped in the shower after about half an hour of snooze-button-hitting, finally realizing what I had been doing.

Thought it was funny and wanted to share my story. This stuff ever happen to you guys?

Yeah when I get new gear I usually go to bed when the sun is rising and then later when I wake up the first thing i do is manically run to my new gear turn it on and make sure that it still works (combined with that great feeling that I finally got it) and then listen to some beats. after more than an hour I realize that i am like naked sitting and making beats I feel ashamed for my self go to shower and keep on with my daily stuff. lol

I play the drums on my steering wheel in traffic. I can get at least 3 distinct sounds out of it for a kick, hi, snare combo.

Wifey gets snooze duties on the alarm... last week I woke up with a smile on my face when the second or third song to come on was some classic CSNY and from when it started playing to when she hit the snooze she caught a perfect 2 bar loop... which then became the basis for a mental jam session that lasted most of the morning. Really started the day off on the right foot. :lol:

I always listen to beats when I'm on the run, wether my beats or some others (heavily being listening to special herbs vol3 at the moment, Shit it great) and freestyle in my head. I don't really know why.

sometimes i'll be listening to my boss or whomever and will hear something in the background that would make a perfect stab or loop. then i gotta tune back in..."what? oh yeah...you're totally right boss."

as far as making beats in my dreams, haven't done that, but have worked on doing some code-work on websites or whatevs b4 bed, and then kept doing it during X amount of hours of sleep. awesome. no real sleep, and nothin to show for the work. what about all my code? <z>ZZZZ</z>
