Best beat repeat method?

I love a bit of beat repeat in a beat and I hear it in almost every SP made track.

my question is what's the best way? It seems a bit hit and miss for me at the moment.

I've had some success with:

DJ Looper
Tape Delay (MFX pad 2)
I've also seen MFX pad 6 used on YT as well.

any tips would be appreciated!

if you have the 404SX, MFX 24 BPM Looper is a great one

I'm definitely guilty of using it too much for some time. But it's soooo much fun. My ctrl3 knob got fucked up because of this. Little wobbly now. I mostly used DJ looper. I can't say what the best way is, but nowadays i like to use it for experimental breaky drums. It's cool on the whole beat too but i tend to overdo it. I learned to control it pretty well after some time and made some ill breaks that would have taken hours to program. But sometimes i fucked up a part of a beat with it which i later regretted. So yeah, it's a bit hit and miss for me too.
