what up world

i am sort of new to this wonderful machine, but ive had problems with like a super whack popping sound coming through my headphones and speakers from the sample pads. i originally thought it was a bad headphone jack or something, but it kept on happening through all of my tests. i was wondering if any of you all had similar episodes? any help would be much appreciated.

Nope, does it make the popping sounds with the stock sounds or did this start happening after ? Does it happen on the card banks and internal banks or just certain ones ? Gimme as much info as u can.

it didn't make the popping when i first got the machine. i got rid of the shit that was on the pads originally and started sampling sounds via 2-1 cable from my computer's headphone jack to the sp-555's line in. it sounds like cracks panning in both ears. any help would be much appreciated

Check you connections and make sure you're not using a old messed up 1/4inch adapter or something. I've had something like that happen when my cable was inserted loosely in the jack. Good Luck

thanks for the responses. It doesn't seem to do it when i use the internal memory (banks a and b) which sort of leads me to believe i got a booty memory card. it's called like jamacard or something along those lines. dude at guitar center packaged it and i didn't take the time to realize he was giving me a generic memory card

ya, if bank A+B doesnt do it, im sure its your card. Better your card than your sampler :)
