SP 808 digital export trick

Post by manneokoko »

Hello,

I just came to think of a trick:

If I make a complete song on the audio track, then want to export it to computer - normally I would have to record it from audio out (with D/A degradation). But wouldn't it be possible to:

1. Copy the finished master audio track to a sample pad
2. Connect the Zip (or CF if you have CF reader) to computer with USB reader.
3. With Roland wav convert application, transfer the pad containing the finished song to the computer.

All in the digital domain without D/A-A/D degradation.
The only problem I can see is if there is a maximum length that samples on pads can have. Anybody know?

As a owner of the SP 202, 303, and 808 I don't think there is a maximum length for the samples on pads
