resampling multiple pads

When I was resampling pad 1 to pad 8 - I accidentally hit pad 1 and pad 2 and both samples recorded to pad 8.
So I messed around with it some more and was able to record the whole bank of sounds to that one pad. With at least four of them playing at the same time.

Thought I'd share that with you guys - it may not be news to alot of the vets in here but it sure helped me!

i use that a lot to layer my drums. i use standard drums and just layer them with my own samples that i take from the internal mic. you can come up with some pretty dope stuff.

re-layering sounds. for drums i like to use multiple kicks and snares when im making a song. i will layer my main kick and snare with something like a hi-hat and that way i can add variation to my rhythm. i don't even use the pattern feature most of the time. i just resample patterns and resample the pattern again playing different parts over it playing each part live.

You can use that ability to play back more than 8 (?) voices at once, or whatever the 404s vocal cutoff is... I don't remember right now. But let's just say it's 6. That's the highest number of pads that can play as far as we're concerned right now. If you can layer samples on a pad, like you described, you could have much more than 6 voices play at once. You could layer 3 sounds to a pad and then be able to play 18 voices at once. Of course, you'd only be able to control the samples in groups according to whatever pad they're on. But, it could be useful in the right situation.
