vinyl sim issue

sry to bug folks.. i asked this on another topic but got no answer...does any1 find that there vinyl sim COMPLETELY reduces the drums on the beat...I can have a fully mixed track where the drums are hitting pretty hard and run this through on vinyl sim, knob 1 not even fully cranked, and the kicks essentially disappear. I obviously am a huge fan of the sound that it gives to the track but this has bothered the hell out of me for sometime now. I appreciate any feedback or input..PEACE

Have you tried turning your kicks up louder than the sample? If this is still happening, the way I found to work around them disappearing is to add in another clean kick over the top of the ducking one without vinyl sim on it, you get the best of both worlds then - a ducking sample and some nice kicks!
