MIDI control for sp404sx

I'm looking for MIDI controller for my Sp...
What kind of MIDI controllers do you use with your Sp404sx ?

Just a heads up, you can´t record into the sequencer using a midi controller.

Sry, I meant "you can´t resample using midi", meaning when you press "resample" the MIDI IN is disabled. I bought a MIDI controller/sequencer thinking I can now essentially resample sequences (sequence from MIDI sequencer, resample on SP while it plays the pads... nope, Roland doesn´t think it´s necessary, we have to use 3 machines to "resample sequences")

Can you control the level of the pad (to play with more or less volume a pad ?) ?

Has anyone used the Beatstep Pro with an SP? If I understand correctly, one could use the BSP to sequence the SP, having full control of velocity and mutes.
