[Review] TASCAM DP08

Post by YakZUU »

Review of the TASCAM DP-08 (multi track recorder)
Image

Solid conception, and it run with 4x AAA batterie

Can record 2 track at time, BUT in MONO so you have finally 4 stereo track.

Good :
EQ, mastering, normalize real well
HQ stereo MIC
Nice workflow with the SP

Bad things :
Power supply (NT0520 5V/2A) ar not inclued !!!
Only jack for input
editing sample with is a pain !

I use for manage my oneshot/sample/synth, rec pattern of SP 404, mastering and rec weird SHIT with the mic

the bad thing about this recorder ?

you have to buy RCA/JACK adaptator (2,5€) because you have only jack for input
.

man don't worry, this is a good, a plus, is the SP202,303 and 404 that have "bad"(read "fragile") outs...my 303 outs were adjusted 3 times yet...
thanks for the review anyway!

I just wanted to add that for an AC adapter, you can use the AC from a PSP. Not sure if the VITA will fit but the old school PSPs yes.

Also you forgot to add that this little guy has phantom power for Mics.

I own the DP01, DP03 and the DP008 and I just wanna say that its like having Logic in analog and manual form.
