jumpin' thru loops [first beat tape] - would love feedback!

Post by ZeusTheElevated »

yoo cats. I'm new to SPs and the whole genre of lofi hip hop. copped 404 a month or so ago and started working on this tape. everything done with an mpc 1k and sp404 (plus a zoom r8 for some stuff). I'm pretty happy with what I've come up with, would love for any feedback. excited to become an active user on these forums, I've already learned so much just by lurking!

full tape as a single track:

I was checking this out when I came through this morning..listened to about half, it's really dope, I'm digging it. Especially if you're that new to beat making, pretty impressive. I got an r8 too, you utilize it for anything other than the basics of recording & interface?

thanks a ton man! maybe I should've clarified, I've been messing around with beats for a few years, but started taking things seriously (and actually making decent stuff!) the past few months. I find the r8 actually has some pretty decent effects/filters you can use to dirty up your samples/drums!
