using 303 effects via MIDI to MPC 2000xl?

I'm fairly new to MIDI so I haven't been able to figure out howto set up the MPC and 303 to communicate so that I can use the 303 only as an effects box for the MPC.

I dont necessarily need to access the 303 sounds, I just want to apply the 303 effects onto my sounds in the MPC. I would really appreciate some guidance!

You don't need midi for that. Just run audio from MPC to SP to recorder and apply the FX to external source on the SP.
