Thx again for feedback/comments/votes last week... hope ery'one finds something to like in the digging I did.. I almost went with something from David Bowie's covers-album Pin-Ups (maybe should have.. maybe you're glad I didn't.. ;) )

#198 SAMPLES

File contains drum hits, some muffled bossa I found on cassette I'd taped of streaming internet radio back when I still had a dialup connex, some Italian prog from '74, some Japanese new wave from '84 and some solo sun ra synth improv from 1986. Use as much or as little as you like.

Rules:
* Multiple SP's okay
* Tape/external device-bounce okay
* Outside drums/samples/intruments/bass/vocals/acapellas NOT ALLOWED

Deadline: Midnight Pacific Thursday Jan 14

SHIT!

Started this battle on the 6th of january, two days before the new Bowie album was released on the 8th, his 69th birthday... had it in mind to run with a Bowie sample, then shelved that idea... two days later he's dead. Kicking myself I didn't run with my original idea, to honour the man.

A creative legend, may he rest in peace.

would have been eerie a fuck. I would have labeled you a suspect. you should just start a new thread for a bowie themed tape. maybe since his album is called blackstar we mix old bowie with blackstar acapellas.
