shopping online for power supplies?

Post by CuzVin90 »

My 404 power supply just crapped out on me today for the second time recently did some solder work to it and it worked for a while but gave out today. Now I'm thinking of purchasing a new one of eBay or amazon. Problem is I've had bad experience in the past from purchasing one from eBay. Got lost in the mail which i got my money back but fuck that.. aint trying to get scammed nah mean? So just interested to hear some outside opinions.

also looking for a 202 power supply

dude, for my last 404og, I used the same adapter I got for a volca keys at The Source. One with interchangeable tips. A cheap Nexxtech 15$ adapter!

Myvolts.com

I use one "normal" power supply from there, ordered it for the sampletrak but works nice with 202/303/404.

The best thing: they got usb power cables! You can plug it in a powerbank (for smartphones etc) and you got a real nice battery pack (depends on which powerbank, i recommend xiaomi, cheap and good quality).

So if you wanna take it out use it with the powerbank and when youre at home you can just plug the usb cable in a smartphone power supply.

I got a 10000mah xiaomi powerbank which i use very often with a usb power cable and that shit lasts really long no matter which sampler i power with it.

The other "normal" powersupply (for the st-224) i ordered from myvolts works without problems since over a year.

is it ok to use a 404 or 404sx power supply with the 202 does anyone know?

I have just used the 303 adapter with my other 202. Now I got a new one but no power supply and i don't want to fry it

I'mma cosign Parker on this one. My 202 didn't come with a power supply, so I thought I was slick when I ordered a cheapie replacement from ebay. Mad cheaper than the OG power supply, but when it arrived it's cable was only a foot long. I couldn't use it as I like to lounge around and move my samplers around when making beats - it was too short.

(In fairness it did say this on the ebay page when I bought it, but only in fine print.)

So I ponied up and bought a used OG 202 power supply from a seller with lots of good feedback from Nawlins and now I am happy lounging on the couch making beats again!

Also - the Sp202 and the DR 202 use the exact same power supply. Just in case anyone is wondering. The 404 one is not the same as the 202 - I wouldn't risk it.
