This is the first hardware sampler/sequencer I've used extensively, I've used an MPC 2000xl to sketch out a basic beat, but other than that all I've used previously is software.

Personaly I couldn't see myself using anything else, It does exactly what I want it to do, and well and all the features It lacks I can make up for using my computer.

Yeah but a joke with a lot of truth in just see how people are losing it over the 303 nowadays.

off-topic: nice avatar by the way, still one of my favourite albums. :-)

I just use my 404 in a different way than my MPC. I like the 404 for loop based stuff...and my 1000 for chopped stuff.

once I got the 404, my mp2kxl was like a step child...but now that I've got the gist of the 404 down I love the feel of pads & all.

I primarily wanted the 404 4 a nite light but later found out it was great 4 efx, but now I use it 4 just about everything. I cook with it, eat off of it, it records my sexual rendezvous and countless other things
