Need help with vst plugins

Good evening fellas, I was wondering how to I add plugins to ableton 9 live on windows? Perhaps even point me to the direction of some free plugins? :roll:

You have to go into your preferences and set a VST folder.

Some cool plugins for me are the ones that emulate classic synths like Dexed(for the DX), mono/fury(for the mono/poly), and of course, the classic Minimogue(for the minimoog). I like basic synths in general. Ah yeah, and let's not forget the CZ emulation synths and the nes 8bits emulation synths(my favorites are from tweakbench http://www.tweakbench.com/triforce , http://www.tweakbench.com/peach).
