SP303 question and cassette deck question.

Post by mossmadebeatz »

I make beats in FL Studio. I want to incorporate the SP303 into my set up. I have a soundcard with two line inputs.

I'm not too fussed about making the beats on the 303, I want to learn this eventually, however I want to run stems such as samples/drum loops. As well as full tracks through the 303. Can I do this?

Also can anyone recommend me a cassette deck for bouncing beats to tape. Preferably for around $100? Second hand off ebay or something.

Get a 303 and a 4 track. You won't regret it.

eBay, homie. Just do some Google research. Like Tascam or some shit. Also search the forum because this topic has been covered many, many, and many times over.

you can get a tascam, or another 4-track, but you should know thats each track is recorded in mono
--no actual stereo--
you can record a sample on 2 tracks and then pan right n left, but it still won't be the same.

so if you just want to bounce the whole beat on tape i think you should get a normal tape deck (you can easily find a cheap one after some little research)
