The pads on one of my 404s were all stuck and unresponsive... I did a little research and found out about a product called "Caikote", a sort of liquid silver that you can paint onto the underside of rubber contact-style buttons and they'll work like new! All you have to do is open up the machine and take the rubber pad out, then draw a line around the edges of all the buttons and let it dry... costs about 10 bucks and makes your SP perfectly responsive! No more avoiding pad 9
