The reason most people here dont go for the electribes is that they're locked to 16th note quantize - which isn't good enough in hiphop/etc, because you need to be able to get loose with beats

I fully understand. Many years ago, I used to do composition (not "production". I think the true definition of a "producer" has been lost, but that's another discussion..) for some hip-hop cats and would drop samples on-the-fly with an SP-303, which was my first experience with SP's.

So.. I recently acquired an SP-606, so after a quick Google for "SP Forums" I find this place. Nice, I think.. I'll just register here. "That email is already in use".. Hmmm? Really? Ok, click Forgot Password, check email etc.. And then it *all* comes flooding back to me..

I guess I'm back, not that anyone will care, lol. Somehow I had blocked all of this from memory. Anyway, off to check out the 606 area. Cheers, everyone. =)

Interesting how it turned out from a SP505 bashing/defending post, into a SP606 loving post. I didn't enjoy the SP606 so much, but as long as sauce is happy, then it's all golden gravy.
