cf card problem

so my cf card is the 500MB Roland CF card doesn't fit in my cf to usb adapter. it works fine with my sp404 and I can load up the whole card with samples from the external but the card wiggles a little in the adapter. i have bought two adapters and both don't work with my CF Card. so I assume my card has an issue i guess. anyone else have this problem? any way to fix it?
