another fun and chip synthy engine could be the korg ea1, but i think it's mono or at least duophonic (with workarounds)

i have a EA-1 and it has two monophonic parts.
each part can adjust pitch offset of OSC 2 in relation to OSC1 so you can work around by controlling both parts on the same midi channel and setting off the OSC2 for each for wonky 3-tone-chords.
sequencing on 2 different midi channels gives you four possible notes in that style
