Hope you get your setup situation fixed soon.

Heads want to hear some new disco funk tape.

Don't forget the distraction of the internet. Your sampler will never ping you about an email or im.

If you got a smartphone, don't forget the capabilities it has. There are a surprising amount of decent-to-great soft synths available out there. There was a great thread on this: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=22556

I encourage you to use anything you have available to it's full potential, but if yer looking to focus on hardware (not a bad idea at all), maybe consider grabbing a second hand tascam multitracker? It can serve a lot of the purposed a daw provides if you use a daw primarily to document or track your beats.

It's also pretty refreshing to work 100% within your sampler, it can only do you good on the long run right? I'm all about using everything to your disposal software/hardware, but working with one device is a great way to learn yer machine and also adapt and overcome limitations, not to mention embracing them and working within them. Kinda like painting with oil or water paint or using a brush or your fingers.

Whatever you choose, keep the momentum up, if your beats are dope they will shine through whatever gear you use.
