hi! i have a sp 404 and i record some samples from vinil tapping the tempo but when i do time stretching with it it makes always sound deterioration even when i change just 1 or 2 bpm to the sound and in sounds that are continous its worst.what am i doing wrong? i wanna know also how can i do pitch shifting in this machine to a sample...please help me thanks
I use the pitch on the turntable to get it close to the bpm. A trick is to use tap tempo before it records and adjust the bpm on the turntable first. I am sure there are some other advice people can give you on here also. That is just the way I do it. Hope this helps.
the SP line doesnt pitch with the exception of the pitch effect. The time stretch just sounds that way... thats how it works. These are the weakpoints of the SPs.
