If the 404 can recognize the velocity of a pad hit on a external MIDI controller and adjust and save the volume on the playback of that pad...

...cant you program a couple of slider midi controllers to control the volume of pads by assigning it to control the same value as the velocity message and create presets so you can have a mixer right there?

hmmm....ya that could work. itd be easy if u where using a software like enigma to program the faders.

So would it be possible to use the midi control of the expression pedal on a FCB1010 midi foot control board as a control for volume on a SP-404?
