Help with pattern sequencer please

I have a premade drum loop that I already put swing on, so I turned the quantize on 1/4 notes for my pattern and set the length to 2 bars. The sample itself is set to loop. On to the problem, when I go to record the drum loop after the countdown Ill hit the sample on the 1 of the first bar and it will play for two bars, but when the counter comes back to the first bar the sample stops playing and is silent for two bars and then plays for two, then stops for two etc. But the counter is only going from 1.1 - 2.4 so I know my length is set right. Any ideas as to what's going on?

Whoops. A 404sx.

Make sure the pad with the loop isn't in Loop-mode.
If it is, the first round will start it and the second time it will stop.
Just make sure Gate and Loop are unlit.
