hi guys i own the 505 and the 606, they both sends midi notes in a very contort way, maybe they can be midi driven from external machines too...however, on the sp606 manual there is a better explained midi implementation, who knows
ps
did you know the the 505 can send midi notes from the 4 parts to 4 different channels? cool to controll and seq 4 different machines

Re: Triggering via midi keyboard
Thanks for the help bro!! Ill give that a look... I think I need to study midi somewhat...
Re: Triggering via midi keyboard
i found out and forgot to update this.
so the the 505 needs you to send a program change message on channel 1 to give you access to the other banks.
so
you need a "Program Change note 0" to get back to pad-bank1.
you need a "Program Change note 1" to get back to pad-bank2.
you need a "Program Change note 2" to get back to pad-bank3. ect...
all the banks respond to midi notes 36-51 on whichever channel you have selected on "Pads Ch" under "system utility midi".
i plan on making a vid but ask here if you have questions.

Re: Triggering via midi keyboard
FYI: the the 2 pitch banks respond to keys about 22 notes up the scale.
