Quick question about resampling
I'm new to the SP, and my question is this- is there a way to resample a a sample without having to trim it? Such as- rerecord the whole thing? this would save me a lot of time when trying to loop it. Thanks.
i think i understand your question because ive encountered this, you trim a sample to loop, then when you resample it you have to trim it all over again.
the best way ive found is to play the sample witth loop off and gate off, like juxt said, then have some understand of when it ends and stop recording close, then you can use reverse on the sample to see how much silence is until the end and trim with the knobs.
another way is too sample it with loop on and when you feel your on time stop recording or mark one measure afterwards.

Im not sure why theres not a easier way to do this such. I mean you can set the resampling to start with the threshold you it catches the start but then you still have to trend the end. I cant wait for a sampler to offer "processing" where it takes whatever changes and basically just processes it like a daw or wave editor would.

no problem, i thought of another way that would work to, instead of resampling in the machine you could record the effected sample into your computer then (with gate and loop off, one measure) then export that file with no silence before or after and load it into the sp...... all that though might be more time consuming then the other ways but you wouldnt degrade your sample quality at all over the course of resampling
