Ableton Headz?

Been trying to find out how to do this...
I'd like to record acoustic drums into the arrangement view without concern to BPM setting. After recording, I'll cut out a few loops to use for the current jam. Any way to allow these loops to define the master BPM of the project?

Essentially would be recording audio and then cutting loops. If you can only do this on imported audio, that is cool too. Trying to free myself from having any defining lines, this would be the last stop for now.

don't know if you already done that, but maybe check the Warp-Slave thing in the Sample box
