I disqualified myself so don't waste a vote on me. Didn't follow the time limit. That vote can go to someone who deserves it. Fun challenge regardless

I voted pate - digging the swing on drums and layering and overall texture of the beat.
Kel - that beat was too raw . Straight mean mugged the whole time while listening.
Marco grouch- I dig the approach on the samples, plus u flipped duke Ellington raw. The sequencing was dope.

It was hard to choose only 3

Also tapey wish your beat was longer. Definitely thought your beat was raw as well. Like how you took the horn section and made some gutter. And the lo-fi texture caught my ear.

firstly_congrats SHUB on last battle and nice sample choice. can't go wrong!
secondly_lazy 15min loop job on my behalf. wish i'd spent more time if i'd known the turn out was gonna be this mad. sorry yall.. making up for it with feedback for eeeeveryone..

IIIII_sick momentum. crackin drums. nice mix.

MarcoGEE_like the first one the most. i dig how mellow/minimal it is and the fact you only used hi hat.

asha SEE_always smooth from you. love the atmosphere and the throbbing "strings".

YUNG TEE_cool left of centre/interlude vibes. keep movin.

Choppermannng_sweet latin swings. liking those faint bleepblop background effects.

warmglooom_bouncing along nicely. clean chops!

PATE._real nice use of reverb and wah. got me swinging too. dope drum change ups.

TheDingO_props for flipping mainly the horns. tight chops and nice filtered bassline. souls of mischief vibes.

l i f (e)_sick shuffle. always coming with the different shit. i dig.

scope_subtle and tasteful use of effects. smooth coastin.

kinay_swirling. hardly needs drums! this is the beat that made me wanna re-do haha.

tvpey_welcome back. right amount of crunch. tastey little snack.

greenllamallama_what a treat. was just asking wizdumb the other day where you went. those fluent releases are all time. anyways.. grooving on all parts. crazy chops and killer gate work. same workflow as me so it's inspiring to see what can be done. cheers boka-boka-bokah!

YohN_throbbing static selectah. always with that bass. sheesh! i like.

Arizona Allen_nice mix of sample material. tonal and harmony work on point. great work!

Kid Polini_some unconventional rhythms in the main chunk that didn't sit with my ears BUT that jammin outro was riding along nicely! would've liked to hear more.

YUBA_grooving on the second half for certainly. cool stop/start vibe and the drum change up was dope.

r4ph_raw as hell haha. busta x streeeetcharmstrong. slick guitar work man, smooth as! class.

KEL404_again, props for flipping the horns. such dope energy and live vocal mixing. stand out.

PARKER JAY_sick raw vibes. yet also smooth.. go figure.. i dig it.

ellaGEE_always with the unique drum sounds. loving the melting pitch shift stuff. almost sounds like choir vocals? very unique.

OTBT_wake up! e=otbt. sick flip. was nodding.

Mister Davenportemmer_nice use of trem, lends itself well! cool change ups although a little unsettling at times.

rAk_space jazz trio. your drummer's half machine or alien. sweet grooves man, i like.

for now..
PATE.

I went like this:
1. OTBT
2. IIIII
3. RAK

my third-place was real close with Arizona, Marco, Alnitak and Mr. Davenport all vying to get in there too... something special in there with yours Rak just tweaked it for me.

iiiiii just the best bump of the bunch

OTBT - grabbed me by both ears and SHOOK!! Real standout/based and no-quarter-taken ill-ness. Thank you for that.

Gonna have to go with Kinay as my first choice. Dude, too groovin. Then IIIII and Pate for my other two. It was the little differences in y'alls stuff that stood out to me. Shoutout to kel tho too. Cheers!

CRAZY amount of beatmastas here!! It's great to see so much people taking part!
The choice was really tough tho.
Had to go with:
rak - love the atmosphere of the track, great drums processing and eq'ing work!
parker jordan - this is fkn badass, sampling on point!
kel - raw, sunz of man flow beat, i fuck with it

All the submissions are dope and unique! Thanks everybody for participating and to those who vote for me :D
Good luck guys!
