btw this is off the subject but doesn't seem to deserve its own thread.. a couple weeks ago i fried my interface by plugging in a mic with phantom power on.. no big deal since it was a cheap one that i'd been wanting to replace anyway. so yesterday i go to the music shop, ask for interfaces and dude's like "yeah we just got these roland ones in" so i'm thinking its perfect right? WRONG. apparently this duo capture interface is so old that even my old laptop isn't compatible with the stupid USB driver CD or whatever. going over there to exchange it so its all good now. but last night i was steaming.. i had 3 songs to record but couldn't do shit. i almost lost it but instead i just chugged the rest of my beer and took my bicycle for a cruise, thank goodness.

update:
i just took the interface back to the store and they said they could order a newer edition that could be here in 2 to 4 weeks and refused refunding my cash.. would only give back store credit. i explained how the other employee told me they just recently got those interfaces in even though they turned out to be years old, and how i felt like it was sold under false pretense. this bozo responded "accidents happen" yeah and if the store has an accident it shouldn't cost the customer 100 dollars fucko! anyways i at least got him to take 15 percent off this onyx blackjack thing which seems to be working fine. definitely never setting foot in supersonic music store again.
