numbers 1-24 effects?

Does anyone happen to know how to use the numbers on the top right side of the sp 404 sx number 1-24??? or is it just telling you what the buttons are capable of?

Hi,
You press MFX and a pad of choice to activate certain effects. Or you can dial the fx you want with Ctrl3. Asking questions is a good thing, but for this basic stuff you can save a lot of time by reading the manual. (Forward and backward, and rereading it for all the things you forget. I do, right now it strikes me I have forgotten how to shortcut to fx 13-24 without using Ctrl3.)

MFX enables pads 1 -12 to select effects 1-12.
MFX and DJFX enables pads 1 -12 to select effects 13-24.
