solo 202 process
so, i just got a 202 and i was wondering how you all made beats with it since there's no resampling function. 202 to tape back to 202 and back tape till infinity?

thats one way of doing it. Personally i use the 404 as a re sampler when using the 202
Re: solo 202 process
I second PlebMan
202 and 404 is the best combination
I know I say it often but it is true

thanks. also threw the 303 in between - triforce
Re: solo 202 process
I mostly try to cut really good loops on mine which I can then just apply effects to in order to create variations. Because 202 is so limited, it really forces you to find a catchy loop that you can stand listening to for long periods of time.. The trick is to keep it interesting with one shots, filters, etc.
This is a somewhat relevant example though I kind of throw in a synth via iMaschine on my iPhone...

Multi-tracking would be the best way to go if you're hoping to produce more complex arrangements.
