+1 and thanks.

We should make an official SP day. Where all the lurkers and old timers come out to say hello or share something they made over the previous year (doesn't have to SP related).

It's all problem solving. Basically you get an idea then the problem is 'how do I do it and make it as close to the idea?'

@PartyRockWARLOCK - I mostly agree with your view. I am a member of a few different forums/message boards (here, MPC, GearSlutz, one for fighting games, teaching/special education and a message group for stained glass) and I can wholeheartedly say... the Ass Hats and Spammers penetrate each & every one!

Here though, I think the main difference is the smoke-heavy air aglow with a deep orange lamp, snake whiskey and stanky joints - everyone that posts regularly (music related or not) has an open and friendly attitude. Almost all the new music I purchase comes straight outta this place, and it would be the same if we were ironically mute!

No yoke though... I am 99% self-taught from the ground up. I started making "electronic" music just a few years ago and feel a LOT would have been lost on me if it weren't for honest & insightful conversation I have had through these channels. Of course, there are the Ass Hats that will (luckily) become quickly known and quickly ignored!

Anyway, just wanted to say YES, I feel you but that I have learned some valuable stuff here ( shit, even Shoryuken which is a total cesspool). It ain't alllll Ass Hats just a good portion haha

Indeedly, SP-Forums rocks harder than KISS on cocaine.

For real,
Sincerity ++
Most heads here keep it real enough that it's obvious when someone isn't.

That said, everyone has their own shit going on and their own way of communicating, so I try not to assume the worst, I think that's important.

I love these forums. I haven't been posting or commenting much as of late, but I still listen to a lot of music from these forums. Another cool place is the SP-404 Freaks page on Facebook which is more centered around collabs and meeting like minded people. and the people are very chill and friendly there as well. Got love for all of you keeping this forum alive, this is the place that inspired me to buy an sp in the first place and I can't thank you guys enough for changing my musical life 8)

yea this forum seems special, cant exactly tell why, the drugs and music make your mind open doesnt explain why some other forums aint close to this one. might be that a certain kind of people are drawn to the SP series, or maybe the sampler triggers some hidden program in anyone touching it. i say give evry baby a cuddlytoy SP and they will automatically grow up to be nice and helpful

Just depends what forum you're on really. I used to frequent a car forum, but everyone there was a d'bag. Just a constant dck measuring contest. There are some cool cats at mpc forums. But yeah, the members here are real chill. My kind of people. 8)
