sp12 tape

These are from the first batch of tracks I made on the sp12 turbo when I first got it a few years back. These tracks were "mixed" and recorded directly out of the sp using only the 5 seconds allowed so the sound quality is quite grimey. Hope some enjoy, thanks.

Cannot wait to hear what you did with a mere five seconds of sampling time. I'm anxious to hear what you've cooked up here and will post a response once I've finished listening to it.. I'm sure my ears are in for something ill!!

I have an SP-12 that I found for $250. It needs a lot of love and attention (a.k.a. money and time, luckily I've sourced some parts) but it's a project I'm undertaking this summer along with getting my Studio 440 up and operational.

After a full listen, I've come to the conclusion that these SP beats are HARD and dope!! You've definitely captured some dope moods and grooves throughout this little collection.

"Mean Muggin' Entrance Theme" sounds like something Kurt Cobain would produce if he owned an SP-12. Really ill vibe on this cut. "Galactic Slope Cruisers" and "You Too" were some other joints that I had on repeat for a while.

I'm anxious to hear what else you've whipped up on the SP-12 and hope you've got a full length in store!!
