Loose Knob

Post by OgGhoul »

I just bought an Sp-505 off eBay with a loose knob. It doesn't bother me too much, but it would be nice to fix it if possible. Has anyone ever fixed a loose knob on one of these things?

Should be a simple fix if you have soldering iron. Just open it up and resolder the connections.

Alright man thanks, I'll look on youtube how to do that. I only paid $113 for it so if thats all it takes to fix it I'll be pretty stoked.

Alright so the connection did need to be resoldered and that helped a little bit but the knob it's self is bent and I think there's something inside of it that's broken. Has anyone ever replaced a knob on one of these or know where I can find a new knob, the knob is labeled fc503b. If not, does anyone know where I can get this fixed? I've gone too far, now I have to fix this thing or it's gonna bother me every time I use it haha

Thanks man, I didn't know they were called potentiometers. Went to the hardware store and had no luck, but I ordered a replacement from Roland for $5. Can't wait to start using this thing again :D
