None of the boxes looked like they followed any design paradigm as a 'group' like korg products (i.e. volca 'series', electribe 'series', etc.).

Re: New Modular by Roland....
It seems the modular euro rack market was too lucrative to ignore anymore, and to shut all the fans up who claimed Roland was only making digital, not analogue. I don't think all the new system 500 kit is going to be cheap, but if it can be purchased cheap, it's going to be a welcome addition to the modular synth market.
Just wish they'd release a classic synth with CV in/out/gate with those features, and not a system 1 software emulation, but it's mainly for people who can afford to patch synths with other modules from that market.

Re: New Modular by Roland....
i have stayed out of euro but those 500 series dual everythings look almost as nice as the delays, i mean what couldnt be done with a dozen vcas and half a dozen vc delay lines lol
i hear a maths is obligatory in any euro case and id want some mults but oher mfrs would not be necessary with the roland modules, though def, most folks bothering to go modular will spend money on other brands or diy modules as well
dammit now im even talking about diy as a way to make modular more affordable, and its all rolands fault!
