Question about SP-303 Adapter conversion from Japan to USA

Post by SPSXFiend »

What's up SP family!?

I have an excited question for everyone here with knowledge on the topic.

I have an SP404-SX and love it so much. I love it so much that I decided it was time to get a 303. I was just checking my tracking for the one that I ordered from Japan on eBay just a few days ago and I realized that I had not at all thought about checking for the difference in voltage when it comes to the power supply between countries.

From what I have read most adapters in the USA are 120v and this adapter that is coming with the 303 from Japan is 100v. I am not at home to check the voltage on my SX adapter that I purchased here in America, but I couldn't wait to check it before asking about it. Will this 100v adapter from Japan with this 303 be okay to use here in America? Will this voltage difference between countries be capable of doing any damage to my 303?

Figured that I would go ahead and ask just so that I could go ahead and order another supply here in America if necessary. And also... could I use any similar adapter such as the individual ones that I used to use for each of my guitar pedals before buying a board and voodoo labs power supply box?

Thank you!
