Vinyl Sim Compression question

I would just like some insight on how you guys use this effect.

1) Send all drums grouped together to be vinyl sim compressed.

2) Combine drums and bassline together to be vinyl sim compressed.

3) Send entire beat through the compressor

My reason for asking is because I have beats multi-tracked and I have my kick side-chained to my bass and I was wondering if it would be better to compress the drums along with the bass (to keep the sidechain going) just send everything at once through the 303 compressor? Peace
