So I'll probably post some stuff up here by this eve if y'all are down...

Okay here we go! It's Moondog vs. Sun Ra - two weird dudes who wore weird costumes and made weird jazz music in the 70s and named themselves in part after the cosmos. I'm in a weird jazzy mood I guess. I'm curious to see how these tunes get tackled!

RULES:

-Sample something from at least 2 of the four tracks provided.

-Outside vocals allowed (i.e. you rapping or an acapella or someone talking or singing or whatever, same as last round).

-Outside bass allowed. I put some bass riff samples but using a synth or whatever is okay.

-DAWs can be used for bouncing, mastering and sample playback but you gotta chop everything and put it all together with the SP.

-Outside drums not allowed. The drum sounds I supplied are pretty crappy, make 'em sound dope!

-No time limit but keep it fresh.

great sample pick bro, props for that! gotta love Ra's crazy vibes!

still kinda buzzed after tomorrow's night, but wanted to get this done by today, cuz may not have time to do it l8r.
so here it is
chopped Ra's nebulae for the main melody and used sum all of everything's parts for background. then i cut drums, played the thing live, resampled it w/ sum efx hype to make it fancy, made 4 bass notes with a little synth i've got + og's mfx11 and layed it on aswell.

Moondog is the shit. Found one of his albums by accident on a not-so-great day and it helped immensely. I need to look up some more of his work.

As for the battle, I don't even wanna try after listening to the first submissions
