How to delete factory 505 samples?

Post by TheDingo »

Does anybody know if it's possible to delete the factory drum samples that come with the sp 505? I just got a brand new 505, tried two different smart media cards and tried it without any card and still can't seem to get rid of these samples. Thanks

Alright thanks man! Do you know by chance why my samples sound fine but when I record them in the sequencer, it comes out distorted and warbly? Thanks again, this is quite different from the 404sx but it's so fun and the effects are amazing. Way better than 404sx in my opinion

maybe try with the wave edit window, inside there's a part dedicated to "phrase" or "single" wave, if you choose the first one the sample will follows the bpm of the seq....
in wich way the fx seem to you better than the 404sx ones?

That worked, Thanks so much!! And the 505 reverb sounds really really good while the 404sx reverb sounds rather tinny. And the compressor and vinyl sim on the 404sx doesn't add the haziness and 'faux-side chaining' effect like on 505. I just really like all the effects on the 505, im starting to really love this beast
