Gotta do some fuckin homework now. I have only heard one or two of these outside of Tropics' tape Chopper mentioned. Sweet thread.

I appreciate the mentions :D welcome and thank you!

Before I knew about and joined this place, I was a regular at mpc-forums. It was the only beat forum I knew and it was rowdy at the time so I wondered if an SP-forum existed since I had all models from 202 to the 606 at that time as well and wanted to get away from the egotistical attitudes. I typed sp-forums.com and BAM! It existed. I was happy and began to scan and observe the area and sure enough it was a pack of talented individuals with SPs in harmony with one another, sharing secrets of the machine and making some of the most incredible music you never heard.

Teewok was the one that got me to appreciate my 606 more for it was annoying at first. His work made me keep the 606 that filthy bastard.

Then I got turned on to LORD BEATJITZU 10 minute tapes which were off the wall lo fi madness.

Wizdumb always made beat tapes and beat vids on some dusty shit.

Speaking of dusty, Scruffneck is damn ill, anything this man makes is worth listening to.

Jade Badger and the Zookeeper with their distinct sound in granulating beats made SPs a powerful modulator that I kept my 303.

There are more that I caught up with later, but those were the ones that gave me a first impression of how ill and dirty this place is when I was a newb here.

EDIT Can't forget Dibia$e and Jon Wayne. True story men that came out of these forums before they got signed. Bless them.

I dunno where to get this one anymore, but the Riki20H2 tape is nothing but badassery. And on the original post, the guy said it was basically an 'album in a day'.

Had to downlowd Pook's Gargantua VHS.
One of few tapes I actually paid for digital files.
I hate digital files. They can get lost so easy. Or deleted by accident. Or gone in a tragic crash.
I wish this (along with so many other tapes) was put out on cassette.
I like having something tangible. That you can store in a collection. Check out the artwork. Have a hard copy that will last forever and is a memento of paid support to one of your favorite artists.

When I come across such a bad one that doesn't have a cassette release I will contact the artist And ask them if I can pay them for a dub tape.
did this most recently with Dirty Sample's Perfect Mask.
I'll post a pic when I get the package.
