Pattern Sequencer Problem: what am I doing wrong?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I am setting up my PS to record 4 meaures, using Quantization at quarter notes. But, when I record, the 404 records the 4 bars, then plays 4 blank ones before returning to the 1 of the actual recording. So, it's playing 8 measures, with that last 4 blank. I tried this with 2 measures, and it did the same thing, playing 4 measures with that last 2 blank before returning to the 1 of the actual recording.

What am I doing wrong?

turn off loop on samples that you are trying to sequence into a pattern
