recording onto phone

I record everything onto cassette.
I want to upload some tunes to my Soundcloud.
My computer is broke. So I'm using my phone to Record.
The app I'm using records too much noise. I'm playing the tape through speakers and recording live through phone.

Can someone suggest a free Android app to record with?

i used FourTrack lite but with the built in mic of my phone...i remember there were another one (something like tape record ish etc) wich was not bad...the truth is that an external phone soundcard could be necessary to done it well, but who knows try those...

use the "tapemachine" app

try taking your headphones and placing them over the mic hole on your phone. hold that shit super tight and you might be able to get a good recording.

another option is use one of these 3 ringed 1/8 cable. go out from the SP headphone jack into your android or ipod phone

Thanks, that headphone covering the mic tip worked like a charm.
But I didn't want to be ghetto anymore and wanted a computer to browse the internet with also. So I paid to have my laptop wiped clean and Windows reinstalled. Only thing that sucks is that he couldn't get the drivers for the wireless so I got to bring it to a computer store to have them fix that for me. There goes another 60 bucks.
