tape recorders?

A regular cassette recorder can work, just have to find a good one with a decent record head. I've had good results with used Technics, Teac and JVC units from thrift shops. Smaller units like tabletop dictation recorders will give a more lofi result. A Tascam 4 track is a great option.

A 4 track is the way to go if your focus is to get a piece for recording purposes.
There's more options as far as layering and editing.
There's more of a learning curve, but there's far more benefits in the long run.

great! i found a 414 mki cheap enough.still needs a good cleaning but its ok i think.i'm going to get it in the next few days.only thing there is no power supply...
can anyone give me the stats of the adaptor (mk2 is the same i guess) so i can search on market to get one
