yo i would say a speaker wire would work, even an old power cord from something, just butcher it and splice the ends would work. anything you can get your hands on that will fit under the screw should work.

Thanks man..the noise has been driving me nuts where for a while i just quit using it and used my original 404 instead because everything i recorded out of it had that buzzing noise so it was worthless to record into my tape player or MPC because everything had a buzzing sound on top of the samples.I hope this fixes it because i can't really return the 404 since i bought a few years ago and literally never fooled with it for almost a year because i was using my old 404 until I got familiar enough to need two...yall don't think it could be some other issue do you?

Edit:to be clear it really is only audible at loud volumes...but when you start compressing things it brings it right up anyways so i guess it is still a pretty big issue....
