Question abou new SD card

Hi!
First of all, can I use any sd card for the 404sx (or micro-sd converted in sd with the adaptor) or only the roland's sd cards?

Also, as I know, I should format the SP before using the new card? Will I lose anything doing this?

I'm using the micro with adaptor, no problems. I have not tried a 64GB, but 32 works great. I always use Sandisk, so I can;t speak for other brands.

Basically, you format the card, so anything on it will be erased.
