Using BIGGER CompactFlash or SD card on SP-606-WORKING!

Sorry if the title was misleading ,but I couldn't write more on the title:
- THE 512mb is still the maximin size SP-606 could use
- But you can use other card you may have regardless the size

I used Type I CF adapter from ebay and an 8 Gigabyte microSD card...
Guess what: IT WORKS! (still using only 512mb)

Download Win32DiskImager
http://sourceforge.net/projects/win32diskimager/

Make an image of your CF card (Read image)
Plug your bigger CompactFlash or SD card you have
Write the image
Careful when you select your drive letter not to make any mistake ,as Win32DiskImager will overwrite anything...

Simple

Now we need some 555-404 members cause I am sure it will work with other samplers too.

you mean that we can use 512mb with 606 Roland folder in a 8giga card?

Not only 8G card but any card bigger than 512mb...SP-606 would normally reject a bigger card ,but with the image trick at least 606 can know use 512mb....

Ready. Since it's an empty card, the image is tiny, but if you unzip you will see it's a 512mb cf card.

seems that nobody tried this with og404. i did though. worked like a charm with a 4gb transcend cf card. big thanks to korakios
