Lots of good shit here that I've not heard before.

Really kind of blown away that there are as many artists/groups releasing stuff on cassette now a-days. Any other cliques/camps out there that I should know about? DIGDUG popped on my radar because of the OP-1 forums. I probably wouldn't have found that stuff otherwise.

EDIT: Anything from "Bugseed" is wonderful stuff.

Coop I'll trade you my lp for your extra copy of the dusty planets. Something to think about...

But yo, False Tropics, you had vinyl pressed up?
What release was that? Where did you sell it?

after saving up for a few years, i pressed up 250 copies of a record in 2011. i figured no one gives a shit about the cdr you hand them or the download you tell them about, but an lp that's actually good might get noticed. it's the self titled one on my bandcamp. pretty much my first beats ever made, all on mpc 4000, all old by then. fat beats distributed 90 copies, and got them to stores all over the world, and on websites like ughh.com. turntable lab sold twenty copies at their stores and online. other than that, i mailed some out as promo (there's even an online review where the critic mentions my pitiful hand written note), a friend gave mr. len some copies, and i trade it for tapes sometimes (most recently with GENN BO of lithuania. "there are no miricles" is an amazing cassette! peep it http://dubartis.com/releases/genn-bo-there-are-no-miracles/)

i met some homies online cause of it, like the artist who did the cover of my new tape (which came out great and will be posted soon). he picked the lp up in a shop in germany and got in touch offering to draw me something. i didn't get famous, and i'm still sittin on a crate of em in the basement, but overall it was worth it. learned a lesson though: cassette is the easy way. they don't sound as great, but youre not taking such a bath if it doesn't blow up.

Lord BeLiestzu is in action again after a short hiatus.
His new Mazinga beat tape is full of dope stuff.
I got word that he is going to be releasing a cassette jard copy of his new stuff.
Be om the lookout for that and cop it before he Goes back into Hiding.
