Yeh, so it's official... 808's zip drive gave its last gasps in the making of this - l i t.u p is an after-image, smoke hanging on the air... RIPZIP

it was reccomended to listen to this by bicycle but it was raining, so i made some roller inline in my flat
it's sad to ear about your 808 zip, did you plan to replace with some of those hell hxc reader (if they work on the 808...)?

Srsly - thx much for checking this... I managed to get the zip on life-support but i just know it's just a matter of time... i'm looking for real solutions but me and my financials are not on friendly terms. What is the deal on 808-resuscitation? What i would do to get some sort of SD-card solution, but anything I've read in these boards is either WAAY over my head technical or seem to spell cutbacks in the 808's capabilities... bottom line i can find is a secondhand zip on ebay - are they even compatible i wonder, different brands etc as long as they're 100MB Ive had this machine so long it's like losing a family member
