Aint never done this sped up breakbeat shit before but was real fun to chop the hell out of this basic hiphop beat. .. for those interested i doubled up two pads each for bass, snare and hats playing the full loop, so i could play any of these with either right or left hand, with three further pads assigned to different speeds of snare roll (easy enough to do in the 808; shift key on the jog wheel in sample trim divides the sample neatly in half). All pads set to "gate" No sequencer or quantize needed, since the hats come in between each bass/snare hit, was easy to keep the tempo steady while juggling.
Might find i resample some shorter loops from these drums for later work, that snare sound is hella crisp. . anyone know where it's from?

would you have your ''kick pad'' being the entire loop, your "HighHat pad" being the whole loop minus the first beat, and the "Snare pad" the entire loop minus the first kick and first highhat?

idk about what lif did but that's how guys made jungle on old AKAIs and E-MUs
